Again i'm sorry it's another rant from me. Doesn't really need any help here, just want to post how I'm feeling again.

So April 12th they received our RFE reply, and it's still processing... slowly. We recently sent off the EAD request as well, and it got sent back (due to me forgetting to tick the TOP BOX ((lol...)) But hopefully it's all going smoothly.

Each and every day that goes by I miss home, and my family and friends. I like it here but I tend to spend most of my time confined to one room, it's really hard.

Even though my Wife is supporting me, she has no money to buy herself luxuries and I have run out of money months ago. The world seems to be closing in on us, but we're still strong, no fights no arguments, it's just bliss. I'm so thankful I found her, met her, fell in love with her and married her, she truly is one of a kind.

I have a question for all of you, just so I can occupy my mind a little more.

How many times did you check the USCIS website case status, whilst you were processing?

How many times a day did you rush for the mail / check the mail box?

I can't be the only one who checks it atleast 13 times a day, and i'll probably start going to see if the mail is here around 12pm. Then again at 1...2...3 until it arrives.

Arghh! Hope all of you current filers, are doing okay! xx

I, too, was a wreck during this process. I scrutinized every detail, checked the uscis portal many times a day, and woke up looking forward to check the mail, and was disappointed when nothing came. We had a trip scheduled and were waiting for AP and it did not come in time - we had to rebook our flight. Each day seemed like a waste when nothing fruitful appeared. Our interview was a month after everyone else who filed our month - we felt left in the dust.

Now that it is over, I see that it is merely a mental problem that many people in this situation share. Our interview was fine, the AP eventually came - everything worked out fine. And for the majority of people, everything does work out fine.

I would highly recommend that people experiencing this do something to take their mind off of it - everything will happen in due time. Know that you are not alone - but I suggest looking for a volunteer job somewhere (you can volunteer). There are soup kitchens and things that need people to help, and you would feel good about yourself and not stalk the mailbox. It's just slow, but it will come. You can't make it faster, and your efforts just make you unhappy. If you volunteered somewhere, you would get out of the house and contribute to something, and have something to look forward to. You would meet new people and have other things to think about besides USCIS. Best of luck to you.

AOS for my husband

I dont do anything. Initially I would check the USCIS portal every day, now I dont even bother. I sent my application off in March and I am fairly sure that I will not see an EAD till at least June at the earliest(And Im being generous). I am quite busy having a husband to take care of and children , to be honest not much has changed for me. What I have discovered (which may be fun for you) is the joys of couponing.

Hope everything works out well for you.

For AOS, I checked USCIS maybe once a month. It took 5+ months and transfer to CSC was slower than those that interviewed at that time. It's going to happen when it happens. If you check USCIS 13 times a day, you're getting a big disappointment 13 times a day. Not good for you. Now we wait on removing conditions since New Year's. I've checked once, after biometrics. They're going to text and email if anything significant changes, so we don't need to see no change day after day.
