Travel agents are a thing of the past, The Internet put them out of business.

Consolidators are your best way (usually) places like Kayak or Orbitz etc

For planes if you make a last minute deal and the plane is not full sometimes you can get a smoking deal.

Bottom line their is no "best" or "cheapest" place to buy an airline ticket

as far as I know Kayak has the cheapest......when I checked Kayak and Delta quite a surprise Delta is $20-ish more expensive blush.gif but I'm not sure for other VJ-ers...it's always hard for us to look for the easiest flight from Ohio to MNL.

China airlines offers the lowest airline fares. Tried to compare the fares myself of all of the airlines that travels to the P.I. You can book online I guess. My bfriend just came here last March. He paid like 800 or 850 dollars RoundTrip including the taxes already.

I have been search for or upcoming July flight from the east coast and so far found kayak 20 USD cheaper than anywhere else I have found so far. Now west coasters have the opportunity of getting a PAL flight direct to Manila nice no stop in Japan to change planes.

I found Kayak to find cheapest flight also.I am on the West Coast and you can get a PAL Flight direct to Manila,BUT you have what they call a "technical Stop for 1 hour in Honolulu.thats not a big deal though, only an hour.PAL used to have that "technical" stop in Guam but no more.

Only thing I can suggest is don't fly Air China

I have paid as little as $900 and as much as $1,700 for round trip tickets from USA to PI.

I have been searching flight costs for the past 2 weeks and the lowest I have found was 2,027.00 total for each adult from Charleston South Carolina to Manila. Last trip I paid 1,400 total and was 2 years ago. :hehe:

I have used Best Fares website in the past but you should also check with a local travel agent that specializes in Asian bound trips before booking online, a few times the agent gave me slightly better price.
