Hello all,

Just wanted to update VJ members on our AP situation, the Administrative Process, which started five and half months ago is now over! we have been notified by the Lagos, Nigerian US Embassy that my fiance has an appointment set on June 27th at 1PM.

I am not excluding the fact, it might of been the "nudge" that my Congressman placed on them few days prior to receiving the Embassy's email? An official letter was sent out requesting for an update... just two days earlier. Coincidence?? will we ever know?

I believe contacting the Congressman and my two Senators did the job. In our situation,I think it did help. Thanks VJ members for your thoughts, advice and support throughout this hellish waiting period called "AP".

I know we are not done yet, but at least "the limbo stage" is over. Now we just move forward and wait for my fiance to come home. Thanks again.

I would suggest for you to contact your congressman, call them after sending in the email. My Congressman sent a letter to the Lagos Embassy, within two days we got a reply. Coincident? maybe but you be the judge! I have written to my two Senators as well, but never got a response. But my Congressman came through. I am sorry you have been in the limbo stage for 7months, I pray you get out soon. I hated this part of the visa stage, it is maddening. Stay strong and try to do what you can from here. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Let me know if there is anything I can help with. Good luck and God bless!
