I'm living in santa maria california and i am looking for a CS who will not require me to redo all medical exam for my I-693..

In fact, today i went to a CS, she didn't gve me any shot at all, she just gave me a supplemental form of my vac record.. just the page #4 of I-693 was put inside the sealed envelop and they didnt sign the cs certification at the last part of I-693.. they want me to undergo tb testing and blood works first before they give me certification.. and i paid $40 for that 1page inside the sealed envelop.. i was wonderin if it will be okey to send that to uscis, but im worried to receive RFE soon.. any advise??

Page 4 alone is useless.

I don't know any civil surgeons that far south in California. Have a look at the USCIS list and start calling around. The civil surgeon you saw is not helping you.

That's because it only takes a little more of their time to do the complete physical, but they get to charge a heckuva lot more money to do actual medical stuff. Transcribing the vaccinations is an administrative task, and some of them think it's beneath their station in life to do such menial stuff.

You could try calling civil surgeons farther away, but you'll reach a point of diminishing returns, meaning where your extra time and effort to get to the civil surgeon's office won't be worth the money you'll save. It sort of depends on how much you value your time. I figure my time is worth what my employer pays for it, and my employer pays me pretty well, so it wouldn't take much of my time before I'd say it wasn't worth it. I've pissed off a few doctors who made me wait long after my scheduled appointment time when I said that I should be billing them for the wait time because my time was worth more than theirs. :innocent:

The civil surgeon we used was similar - he insisted that the full medical evaluation was needed. I quoted him the law that said otherwise. He said "Yeah, I've got a copy of the same requirements right here. I've also got this stack of I-693's for people who got RFE's because they didn't get the full medical." To be honest, I've also seen a fair number of people on VJ who got RFE's for an I-693 with a full medical. For some unknown reason, USCIS field offices have a habit of losing the medical packets from the panel physicians abroad.

The CS agreed to only transcribe the vaccinations, if that's what I wanted. I gave it some thought and decided that I'm allergic to RFE's. In the end, I decided to go ahead and get the full medical just as insurance against a potential RFE. Since we were doing three of them - a K1 and two K2's - I bargained for a group rate.
