The NVC told me that my case is incomplete so I resubmitted the affidavit of support and original doc. My husband called today they told him that we've got to waite 20 days and then call. What should I do ? Wait or maybe he could ask his congress man for help? Would his congress man or senator do anything on our behalf?

Give me some advise please ?

Thank you

Twenty days is a standard answer believe me....LOL i called every day since I sent my documents on the 18th and they received in the mailroom on 19th. Unless you get an RFE it shouldn't take but one to two weeks under normal circumstances...

we also got the same answer, wait 20 days (business days), but looking back I wish I did contact congressman, sometimes it helps a lot to move things, in our case they lost some documents and we had to send them again, it took them 2 weeks just to update they received them, and then another 20 business days to review them.(at that point, they did not review even that 20 business days have past, so the operator said she will send it to a supervisor, but that also takes 15 business days....lol, finally after 8 days at the supervisor they completed!!) Maybe if at any point we asked the help of the congressman maybe it would have gone faster and we wouldn't have to wait..

Did you OPTIN electronic processing ???

I did email everything to them as a scanned attachments . Received auto-reply acknowledgement of receipt a few hours later .

I called them . They said it MAY take up to 20 business days before the case is complete . After that , I can call them and they will follow it up. So far, I haven't got any RFE or anything else.

Hope they will keep that promise . I will update you guys what happens.

I called NVC today.

The operator was very nice. Not always the case.

She asked me if I emailed them along the BAR CODED receipt . I didn't , only emailed them the receipt page but had no bar code in it . Now, that's the reason for the delay . She told me though to contact them once the 20 business days have lapsed.

So, please remember to send that BAR coded cover sheets in order to avoid delays.

Just want to share it with everyone.
