Checking status of K-1

Hey me and my fiancee just got our NOA1 yesterday and when I went to check the status of it, it said my file did not exist. Now I know you're thinking that maybe it just hasn't gone through yet because it's been so soon but our NOA1 was actually sent out on March 2nd and got lost in the mail. So I was just wondering how long does it generally take before you can check your status? I have the receipt number and everything. it starts with EAC. Any help would be appriacted, I'm one of those people that has to know what's going on and considering i'm the one not in the US it can be pretty hard. Thanks.

hi they have i think up to 4 week to put it on the system from the no1 date after that call and put a service request for them to put it on their system mine took 3 weeks and i called

Some people never see their status online. Most of the time if you can access it, its not updated correctly or its not updated at all.

Status checking is not reliable. The best way is to call or wait for physical mail.

The Status Checking is not a requirement for USCIS. It is a courtesy offered by them.

I know it isn't a requirement I just like to know things and since I'm in Australia I'm pretty sure I can't call USCIS.

Why can't you, its a 1-800 number for USCIS.

I called them from outside of the USA.

You can also call DOS to get information on your case, I also called them many times from outside of the USA. They often gave me more information than USCIS did.
