Had my citizenship interview today...took only 10 minutes.

My interview agent only asked me for passport and green card...a few questions

from the N400 form...said that was fine. He asked me 5 questions:

1/ How many senators are there

2/ What ocean is on the West coast...

3/ Name one state borders MEXICO

4/ Why are there 13 strips on the flag

5/ Name the vice president of the US

He asked me reading 1 sentence and write 1 sentence then told me I passed.

I have done my journey.

Wishing everyone else a quick and final journey to become a citizen and best to all.

Congratulations.. Did they give you an oath letter for 9/28 after the interview? Did they give you an approval letter?

Congratulations.. Did they give you an oath letter for 9/28 after the interview? Did they give you an approval letter?

No, they did not give me an oath letter for 9/28 after the interview, but when I asked the officer, he showed me a schedule of Oath. They will operate Oath ceremony at Los Angles on 28/9/2011 and next month on 19/10/2010.

Removal of Conditions Journey:

2010-5-23 : sent I-751

2010-5-28 : received NOA1

2010-7-21 : called USCIS- received a reference number.

2010-9-08 : biometrics

2010-9-28 : approval.

2010-10-04: Got card.

Naturalization N-400 Journey:

2011-5-31: N-400 sent

2011-7-25: Biometrics

2011-9-14: Pass Interview

2011-9-28: Oath. U.S Citizen. Done

Hi everyone...

I have done my journey today...and I wish all of you lots of luck!

My interview was scheduled today at 9.45 am, but they called me around 10.10 am.

These are the question that she asked me:

1. During the Cold war, what was the main concern of the United States?

2. If the President can no longers serve, who becomes President?

3. What is one reason colonists came to america?

4. What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment?

5. Who is in charge of the executive branch?

6. There is four Amendments in the constiitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.

She asked me to read: Who is the Father of our country?

and then she handed me a paper to write: Washington is the father of our country.

It took me about 15 minutes the whole interview, then I went to the Oath Ceremony at 1.30 pm.

Now I can say that I'm officially US citizen, and I am so proud.

Thank you everyone...and wish you the best.

Hmm.. did they give you a decision letter or tell you if your case is approved?

did you receive any txt saying your case is approved..

My interview is next month and I am kinda scheduling how long does it take for the oath.. and if they provide an approval letter after the interview..

My interview went well but unfortunately the IO gave me N-14 form so I will need to go for a Re-Interview which will be in November.

I think I blame this on myself, I listed a traffic citation on my application but somehow I forgot to take the paper work with me and ofcourse with my luck, she seemed to want the most. I had several other documents but this is what is really going to delay my case.

The IO also said, when I go back to the re-interview, i take with me some other evidence with me which i presented today because a few month will have passed by then. Is this normal? Anyone has experience with re-interviws?

How much were the traffic ticket(s) each? I thought any traffic citation less than $500 need not to be mentioned

Hmm.. did they give you a decision letter or tell you if your case is approved?

did you receive any txt saying your case is approved..

My interview is next month and I am kinda scheduling how long does it take for the oath.. and if they provide an approval letter after the interview..

they gave me a decision letter ( Form N-652) that say: Congratulations!your case is approved.

Removal of Conditions Journey:

2010-5-23 : sent I-751

2010-5-28 : received NOA1

2010-7-21 : called USCIS- received a reference number.

2010-9-08 : biometrics

2010-9-28 : approval.

2010-10-04: Got card.

Naturalization N-400 Journey:

2011-5-31: N-400 sent

2011-7-25: Biometrics

2011-9-14: Pass Interview

2011-9-28: Oath. U.S Citizen. Done

I am sorry to hear that Uham and I wish I could offer some advice but unfortunately I don't have any experience with that. However, I have read many cases where a re-interview was needed because of missing paper work. Don't be hard on yourself... it happens to the best of us. It will be fine as long as you get the paper work showing proof that it was taken care of.
