Case not yet in system...how long?

Our petition was approved April 6, sent to NVC, then forwarded to US Embassy Manila on April 13. Until now the case number has not been uploaded into the embassy's system, and we can't make an interview appointment.

Does any know how long it normally takes? Does it help (or speed things up) if I call the embassy?

Asking ourselves the same question. I think our case arrived the same day at USEM. The long holiday last week certainly didn't help.

There's nothing to worry about here. It can easily take two or three weeks from the time your physical case file leaves the NVC until the Embassy receives it and enters it into their system. You will be able to schedule an interview only after the Embassy enters your physical case file into their system. Just keep trying every day to make an appointment. One day soon, it will magically happen.

Don't waste your time calling the Embassy. The fastest way to schedule an appointment is simply to try every day.

Thanks for the reassurances

Calling the embassy trunkline and locals is also an exercise in futility. It's now clogged up even at 7.30 AM. Unless you can camp beside the redial button on your phone the whole day.
