You may want to start a new thread instead of posting on this old thread.

Have you tried contacting the Embassy?

Hello. So we had our interview last March 27. The interview went well (I think) until the CO on the last window gave us a white 221(g) form asking for additional documents:

1. CENOMAR (for my father)

2. NBI clearance (just in case, since my nbi clearance will expire on April 12)

3. Baptismal certificate, school records and photo of my father with our petitioner

And the: "Wait till you hear from us..." box was ticked. Also they collected all our passports (which I think may be a good sign?) My father already obtained his CENOMAR at NSO that same day (the CO informed us that the embassy would just pick it up later)and the additional required documents were already submitted the next day via 2go courier. I just want to know how long will we have to wait for our visa to arrive. I know patience is a virtue but it'll still be nice if we have the slightest idea on how long should we have to wait. Thank you to those who will shed light on this one. Haha.

who is your petitioner? usually it takes two weeks after sending the requested documents, then they will send your visa...i am curious why they asked for a CENOMAR for your father....

Hi archy. Thanks so much for your response. Our petitioner is my grandfather. They asked a CENOMAR for a validation that my father is not yet married. You see, we're on a petition and if my father marries before we can get our green card or something like that, the benefits of our petition will not be anymore granted. So I guess they want some proof.

Oh, I forgot to ask. The 2 weeks duration, does that mean 14 working days or the normal 2 weeks (including the holidays?)

Hi guys, im just a newbie here and I really need ur opinions. I had my interview last feb11,2014 and after that they asked for my cenomar (which Im not aware that I should bring). The lady in window 72 gave me a white slip with boxes and it has a x sign on cenomar and she asked me to get it through NSO. So after that I directly went to NSO to get one, and they said that the embassy will get it on feb 17. The thing is I am so worried if I'll be approved or denied bec the CO didnt say anything, he just said "the only thing we need from u is ur cenomar, after we have that we'll file this." And thats it. So wat do u guys think? Pls help me, thanks.

This is a 2 year old topic. You would do best to start a new topic.

As for your question, once the embassy has the documents they required you should be just fine. Be patient as it takes time to process things.
