I just got our NVC case #....YAYYYYYYY!!! But since filing our I130 I have legally changed my last name to his. All of my documents reflect that change, such as my employment letters and paystubs, would you send the proof of name change to NVC (and risk delaying it) or just continue with the case and maybe write your name on as much corresponence as possible like so Danelle Register (Johnson), Register being the name I origionally filed with and Johnson being my new last name...........think it will make sense if I put my new last name in parentheses like that? Some things still say Register such as my taxes and other things say Johnson........Thanks for any input good.gif

I was in a similar situation and I called NVC about it because I was concerned that having my maiden name on the documents might cause problems since my documents have my married name now. The agent who spoke to me said if my passport had my new name I needed to send them a scanned copy by email. I did this and they changed my name on the documentation they had.

I'm not sure if everyone can do it by email, however, or if it's just people from countries who have the option for electronic processing. I would say definitely call NVC and see what they say. It's worth dealing with it somehow so you're not worried that there will be a problem or time-wasting RFE later.
