Hello i am a Dec. filier and have been checking out vj and found alot of helpful info...however i wish i knew about this site before i filed...i am thinking i may get a RFE...which means it will be a little longer. This has been a very long wait and still have a few months to go...my fiance is in Nigeria and we talk everyday but its not the same as when i went to visit him....

I guess i just need some vj friends to talk to during this process...

Just try to think positive, it is a lengthy process and there are too many other things to worry about. It will all be worth it in the end.

Jean and Richie's Timeline

12/06/09 - Jean's Auntie gave me her email address and phone number

12/07/09 - Emailed Jean the for the first time

12/09/09 - Jean and I began text messaging

02/01/10 - Spoke to Jean on the phone first time

09/05/10 - Traveled to the Philippines to be with Jean, her son and family for 17 days

10/29/10 - Sent I129f to TSC

11/03/10 - Received at TSC

11/05/10 - NOA1

11/06/10 - TSC forwarded I129f to VSC

11/16/10 - Touched (Jean's last name was mis-spelled on the NOA1 and they corrected it)

04/05/11 - Called USCIS to check, they said possibly within the next 30 to 60 days...

04/22/11 - NOA2 Whooooohooooo!

Yes the process can be long and exhausting....feel free to hang out here on VJ or find something to occupy ur time.....no worries remember ur closer to the end than u r the beginning.......

I've seen a number of Dec. filers got their NOA2's from Igor's list. So hang in there! It won't be long enough before you get yours. :)

Feb 01, 2011 - Sent I-129F to Texas Lockbox

Feb 07, 2011 - I-129F Received

Feb 19, 2011 - NOA1 (Mail)

May 13, 2011 - NOA2 (e-mail notice)

May 17, 2011 - NOA 2 (Mail)

May 28, 2011 - Got case number after 2 weeks of waiting

May 30-31, 2011 - 2-day Medical at SLMEC (without the NVC letter, just the MCN)

July 01, 2011 - Interview (APPROVED despite delayed documents!)

July 14, 2011 - Picked up visa from 2Go Main

July 15, 2011 - Bought one-way ticket for first time immigrant (rate)

July 18, 2011 - CFO at SMEF-COW

July 31, 2011 - Flight to the US! (Finally!)
