Hi, just filling out the affidavit of support (well, my finacee is) and we were just wonder what the best way to fill in the I-134 Question 7:

"I am engaged in the business of _______ with __________ at ________________ and derrive an annual income of _________"

The issue we're having is that my finacee works two jobs, and only with the combined income does she meet the threshold. Just wondering what the best way is to answer this question. This form is the scariest of all of them for us, because we know how carefully it is scrutinized. We will be submitting the previous few months pay stubs and 3 years worth of tax returns along with signed letters from both of her employers confirming her sources of income.

Any help greatly appreciated!

This is NOT SOLID GOLD Advice so wait for other replies: This reminds me of the I-129-F where there was not enough room to list all Employers for the past 5 years so this is what my Attourney did to complete the 5 year requirement;

Fill-in the form with the higher paying job / lenght on the Original Form. Then write see Addendum. That would be the second job and attached to the Original Form.

It should be titled Question 7. Attachment: "I am engaged in the business of___________with______________at___________and derrive an annual income of___________.

Then attach that with paystubs and letter from employer.

I seen alot of members looked at the post but no answers yet. Wait for other Replies, I don't want to advise you this is correct. It will get others members thinking and come up with a best solution.

I thought of the same solution...If for everything else you can just attach an extra sheet of paper, sign and date it, I do not see why it would not be correct here as well.

Maybe someone that has actually done it can give some insight but I believe this is the correct way to do it!

Good Luck!

I asked the same question a few months back. You can list the income for both jobs combined (note them both on the same line of form I-134) or attach a separate paper. Most people say the CO looks at the income listed on form I-134 and compares that amount to your paystubs, taxes, bank statements (if you choose to use them) that you bring as PROOF of income. That proof will likely be more relevant than how/where you list your employment info.

BTW, form I-864 (used when adjusting status) actually has 2 spaces to potentially list 2 jobs. Just FYI for down the road.
