Hello everyone,

Thought I would create a thread for anyone waiting for an interview date or if you are in AP in Cairo. Somewhere we can share any thoughts, worries, opinions and support each other.

As for our case at NVC was completed on the 5th of April. Status: waiting for an interview date. Going out of my mind crazy waiting

yo`ll hear good news soon about the interview cuz the embassy was done with all the previous interviews which were canceled so the embassy will accept new appointments soon

Hi my fellower filers!!! Our case was completed on January 31st, we are hoping for a May interview! Sooooo here I am joining in with the rest of us! Woohooo let the fun begin, well ok atleast the interviews LOOL

My case completed on April 07 after Wendy by two days..and start waitting..if my interview will assigned last week in may or in june its ok i agree

You know the hardest part of the process is if you have to go through AP, it really sucks, i will stop whining now cause i can go on forever

Wish everyone that is waiting for an interview to get one, but this journey is certainly a waiting test

Thank you all for ur replys. Didnt know we were all so many. Relieved tomorrow is Wednesday, a lady at the NVC told me today they will schedule appointments this week. So on Monday is the day to call to see who will be the lucky ones to have May dates. Yeah right, I'm still calling tomorrow Gives me peace.

Hey Amber (my northpole sista) how's ur brother doing. Glad you joined us. Girl u make me laugh so much.

Besty have you gotten any insight from calling NVC today. I couldnt help myself today and called them three times. First got two rude ladies and on the last call got a nice and friendly one. The 2nd one actually said she didnt get any update that the embassy was reopened.

HAVE YOU ALL NOTICED WE ALL ARE PRETTY CLOSE IN COMPLITION DATES. IT WOULD BE AMAZING FOR ALL OF US TO BE SCHEDULED IN MAY.

I laughed so hard reading this post! Iwill be calling tomm too, I figure what the hay, right? Gives me peace too, also I figure what do I have better to do??? So yea, I will be calling.

Let's all keep this thread alive and kicking, it's a great place to sit back, enjoy each other's company, pass time and keep from ringing th NVC 5 times a day.... shhhh that's our secret ya'll..... I mean really who does that anyways? certainly not yours truly... LOOOOOOL

My dear friend, I can only imagine how you feel. But the good thing is that you were approved. It will just take time. Both Ahmed and I are praying for you to get ur visa soon. You help us so much and he is very thankful for you helping him.

Me too, I can go on forever whining and be depressed. Especially after calling NVC a few hours ago and being informed some conflicting information. Kinda late right now its past midnight to explain. So as soon as I get into the office tomorrow morning I will share with you and everyone. But don't worry though it will not affect you or anyone in AP. I will only say for now that after I hung up with NVC and have been busy being productive to benefit all of us.

My niece is stationed at the consulate in Cairo and she returned to work on the 10th of April so things should be back to normal timelines very quickly. Hopefully you will all get some good news soon

Waiting waiting waiting........ We've become experts with this whole process. going on almost 1 1/2yrs coming this June. Allah, please help the Cairo Embassy employees move along with their backlog. Really hoping NVC received an OK from Cairo stating they can go ahead and schedule new case interviews for JUNE. Going stir crazy missing my hubby

Hi Everyone,

Our case completed on 03-28-2011. I haven't been active to much here on Visa Journey but I do get a lot of good information. Thank you to everyone for that. I saw what Wendy wrote about calling the NVC and them telling her about no appts being scheduled. Its so crazy because one day you call and they tell you the embassy is open and scheduling appts. the next time they say embassy is closed and no appts are being scheduled. I feel like asking the person on the phone what the heck is going on! I wonder if they make a log every time someone calls in. I was just wondering if they know I call 5 times a day sometimes. lol I am going to try to stay active and am watching for everyones interview dates coming up. It's so good to know each others completion dates so we can kind of guess when our case will fall in. as everyone already knows...THIS PROCESS IS SO FRUSTRATING!! Does anyone know what determines if the embassy gives a visa at the time of the interview or if they process it and mail it out. I have just read different posts and noticed this happens. BEST WISHES EVERYONE.
