Hello,

Has anyone recently been through the interview process in Thailand who DID NOT have any special exemptions which would speed the processing time (military or birth).

We have waited about 3 weeks from the time our packet 3 was received at the Embassy.

Thanks all!

-Eric-

BKK sees about 700 cases per month. Have you tried to find the interview schedual link on the embassy web site? A 3 week wait isnt unusual especially at this time of year.

You can try and email them at visasbkk2@state.gov. I just emailed them yesterday to see if they received my packet 3 and they said they did but they did not setup an interview yet. In the email they sent back to me they said they will send a letter snail mail to Pui and they also said to check this link to see if our case was assigned an interview date. Click on the pdf and then do a search for your number and see if it is there.

My finacee didn't get an interview date for 7 weeks after submitting packet 3, so you shouldn't be too concerned. They only put the January schedule together in the last week of December, so if you're not on the list for April you probably won't hear much until the end of the month.

This is true but the list can be used to help understand why someone hasnt recieved an interview date. My own interview never showed on the schedual. My husband used that info to convince them they were interviewing people that came after our case. They admitted their mistake & allowed us to choose any date we wanted.

We had a similar case in which people who had returned Packet 3 after us were being scheduled for interviews before my wife. I emailed them and within a day my wife had her interview date.
