Hi everyone,

Although I have been following this forum for a while, but I haven't posted anything yet. The reason that I am posting this is to get some help and if anyone knows what I should do. My IR1 visa was approved and my case was sent to US consulate in Montreal. During the interview they asked me for some extra documents and they said that I should sent it before they issue me the visa. Later, I sent my passport and the documents, but there has been no correspondence from them for 10 weeks about my visa or passport. A few days ago, I received a letter which said due to lack of correspondence with US consulate in Montreal, they cancelled my visa. Even worse, they did not return my passport. I have the tracking number that they received the documents. I emailed them twice in the last few weeks, but no reply. I also contacted the US Visa Service for Canada, but they said they cannot help, and I called NVC and they said they cannot assist either. So after trying to contact them a few times in different ways, they still said no correspondence from me. I don't know what to do. If anyone knows where to write or how to contact so someone responds, I greatly appreciate it.

Did you try calling the consulate? It's harder for them to dodge a phone call than an e-mail.

You cant call Montreal consul they do not have a phone line available. You can only email them.

Anyway go to the Canada section in regional. There is a fax number and an email for one of the head people in the office there in a post, or you can post asking for that information if you cant find it. I took a quick look and couldn't find it for you. But I have seen the thread in the Canada section about using that and getting results.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

They don't have a phone number. I tried emailing them but only auto-response. Very frustrating.

Thanks very much for the suggestion. I will try to find the web page.

keep us updated

They have a regular mailing address and a courier mailing address, which are different. The post office box that was posted in this website and I saw it a while ago is not accurate, I don't know if anybody updated it or not.

Send a fax letter to 514-398-0973 and 514-398-9748

Address it to "IV Unit Supervisor" It should get results based on other peoples results that were posted in the Canada section of VJ.
