Affidavits

I will be sending three Affidavits with our Removal of Conditions package. One from my Mother saying that we have lived in one of her houses since marriage (instead of having a lease), and two from people we know stating that our marriage is real and such.

My question is, exactly what is an Affidavit? Is it a form I have to pick up? Does it have to be sworn in front of someone? I've seen the examples ones, but they don't really tell me how to go about getting one.

Any info or advice is greatly appreciated!

Its a descriptive letter that someone writes to attest something about someone else.

We had 3 for our AOS. All they did was write a letter on the computer, print out 2 copys and sign them both and give them to us. We kept 1 copy for our back up packet and put the other copy in the mailer.

They are letters no specific format. They should be signed in fornt of a notary because they are sworn affidavits.

Its good to know that these Affidavits are much less complicated than I was beginning to think.
