My dad is our co sponsor for our k-1...he is very concerned about his social security number being on everything and having it going through the mail system and customs...so can I black out his social except for the last for digits on everything to give him some peace of mind or does it have to be on there... :help:

tell him he's worried about the wrong thing... i'm certain that the information he's worried about can be obtained.. it's on the forms that went t from USCIS to the NVC and to Jamaica.. You can black it out except the last for but know it's ever been reported an issue just a concern.

Yes, your father can block out all but the last four digits of his SS# on the tax transcripts. But if the 134 form request a SS number he will have to supply the correct 9 digits. Most petitioner tend to go JA for the interview date, so they hand carry their 134 forms.

The K1's do not send their forms to NVC, everything is given directly to the Consular at the interview.

the forms do go through nvc for K1 a few people got hung up in processing through the nvc
