i am looking for suggestion on how to best print out skype logs. When i sent in the K-1 app i actually copy pasted the whole thing over to a word document and printed 257 pages!!! There has got to be a better way right? because when you copy paste you just get a txt document that doesnt have any decernable of telling its from skype and not just some document. Thank you in advance.

I'm actually on the process on doing this one as well. I copy pasted everything and highlighting the personal info. :innocent:

But, I'm not actually going to put everything in there. Probably conversation every month and a half only, just to show that our relationship is still ongoing.

What we did with our is to print screen our call logs. We are more of video-calling so I also captured those times when we talked on webcams with date below through skype. 257 pages is a lot and too much for me. You could just randomly choose emails or chat logs from the very first time you meet up to the end. A little of something every month will do.

Not to be mean, but 257 pages is WAY too many and will just make the adjudicator mad. Really, maybe just one a month will do. I hope you did not send in the 257 pages with the K1 app, as that kind of things is what holds up the processing of apps. Evidence is ONLY needed during interview (we got this straight from a USCIS adjudicator.....we "happened" to meet him and became friends). In fact, we did not use SKYPE logs at all for evidence. Just a few cards, notes we gave each other and had printed a few emails, (once again.....all that was needed, but they never even asked for our evidence).

Good luck.

If you have a Skype account with an online number you go to your account on Skype.com and click on "call history" and then "export to history file" - which saves all of your calls to a CSV file. It may very well be different if you don't have an online number, but just throwing that out there.

And yes, 250+ pages of call logs is excessive. Think quality, not quantity.

1st THank you to those of you who replied with HELPFUL answers. just to clarify i am aware that many pages are unnesisary which is why the question was posted. ;-) .

What im gathering from the anwers is that the logs are escentially useless, since they dont seem to able to be printed out in a way that proves you didnt just write them yourself. However taking screenshots is a better option because the date is already at the bottom of your screen. is that about right? Thanx again.

We had already done the screenshots too, but then we found this software, Skype Call Exporter (you can find it here >> http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=87531).

edit: I stay corrected, you're talking about skype logs. @_@ For those we used screenshots also.

Also, keep in mind that this is considered secondary evidence and it may never be looked at. So, in thought, it's good to have just in case you need extra evidence. I have heard of a story during an interview where the Consulate Officer said to the couple "you could have just purchased these records from the buscones outside". So don't over burden yourself with 257 paqes. I remember printing out my call records from Vonage and T-Mobile and it was a lot and they even asked to look at it.
