Hi Good pple (VJAYS :) ).i need help from those who went through the US consulate in nigeria for assistance about their interview (K1 to be precise)....

1. Dress code on that day, how formal should it be?

2. How much or how less is one's supporting document

3. In a situation whereby one's petitioner was kinda married before, but now they're no more, they separated since 2008 but the divorce was finalised in 2010....4months later she filed for me,wouldn't it kinda raised a red-flag or sometin ?

4. she has visited me 2tymes in d last 1yr but we cant lay hold of any of her flight iteneries, except pix and copies of pages of her passport to show that she was in the country in the last 1yr, what do we do in that situation? she is coming for my interview too as well , at least i wil have that one in hand, what else do we need to convince the COs that we r real? :(

Hi, you need not to worry about dress code, all I can say Is be yourself provided your relationship is real . You need to go in with visa form , AOS, letter from employer which I believe will be in the packet she will be sending to you, chat logs, emails, phone records she can print that out for you through her phone comp, photos , cards , receipts of bills etc, for the fact she is divorced you have no problem with that for my case is almost like yours my fiance visited once shaaa. Goodluck no worries.

1.dress code, the same thing you would wear to a job interview, comfortable but formal

2.it depends on the embassy, but since your country is considered high fraud, bring as much evidence as possible

3.there is no such thing as KINDA married, its simple, your fiancee was married, she got divorced and filed for you when she was free to marry, thats all they care about.

4.you gotta work with what you got, what did she pay for her tickets with, credit or debit card?if so get a copy of a statement showing she purchased tickets to Nigeria and that her entry stamps match the ticket dates

First of all welcome to VJ second can you please fill in your timeline pls.......

Dress code is not a big issue but you want to look nice or "smart" you dont really need a tie but trouser and shirt is ok my fiance wore shirt and trouser I believe. You need all the evidence you have and lots of it for the Naija emabassy the more the better for that embassy make sure you have all chat logs, phone records and pics everything should be from the beginning of the relationship to the present make sure you have your affidavit of support and the supporting documents, make sure you have the correct birth certificate (long form) make sure you have the medical and police check. It really shouldnt be a big issue that she married divorced and got engaged to you quickly but make sure you have a copy of the certified divorce decree and expect to answer some questions about her ex like maybe what was his name why did they divorce you know simple things like that, so no worries about that. As for the iteneraries maybe they are in her email most airlines email you your intenerary or like the previous poster said she could get copies of her bank statement or however she paid for them. I believe that since you have the stamps you should be fine but make sure you take all that with you the more the better in Naija. Be confident in what you are answering make sure you know your fiance very well if you look under previous people who interviews they have written embassy reviews and have posted sample questions that you can review...I suggest you review review review...If you look under my timeline I have posted a review and questions that my husband was asked....Good luck :time:
