You interviewed in Montreal or Vancouver? For either there is a K1 email address who you would email. Same as if you were inquiring on your K1 visa. You don't have a timeline.

Don't have a timeline as some dates I did not keep track of. I know it can help in situations such as this, but I figured the fact I was posting in the "Waiting for our passports from Montreal" thread it would be self explanatory.

I had sent an email to the consulate yesterday (July 2) to inquire about the status of my case as well as ask if any problems arose (required more documents, expiration of soemthing, etc.) via the public email form. If I receive the same automated reply I have the previous 2 times, I will write again to inquire about the NOA2 expiry.

Aria I understand your frustration, I'm immigrating with my 2 kids and have one issued 'being sent to loomis in 5 days' one stuck in AP and one that has never left ready status. Good luck to your mom next week.

Hey Trenz,

Considering it was Canada Day and July 4th I didn't check my status too often. I only checked twice; when I got home after my interview - June 30th and yesterday. On June 30th - it says ISSUED - it gave the disclaimer about AP and then I checked on July 4th - it says ISSUED - youl should receive your passport in 5 working days. Both times it gives the date of June 30th.

Also,

I always wondered and can honestly say I don't really know if it means anything or not or even recall it changing over the duration of this process..but does anybody know what the "01" after your case number means? Or if they have a different number.

Like, on CEAC after I enter the case number it says

Application ID: MTLXXXXXXXXXX 01 MTL

the only thing I can think of is that I was the first of the day to be interviewed so that could be the 01

Not sure if this helps you at all, but I also was the "first" interview of the day; at least I believe my time slot was. I was scheduled for 7:40AM but the person who received the number 2 placard went ahead of me for being called up to the interview window. I did receive the number 1 card, however.

My status also reads 01 MTL. Perhaps you might be on to something here?

From what I understood, everybody with a K1 Visa interview had a 7:40 interview....and it's all first come first serve. I arrived at 6:30 so I stood first in line, making me Applicant 1. I also went up first because of that, I think that's what the final numbers on CEAC stand for, what applicant number you had.

Funny they interview as first come first serve but it definitely seems like they don't work on their cases that way.

Good to know! I had no idea that was all the case to be honest. I was kind of miffed as to why I was first in line, Number 1 placard, yet was called up 2nd for my group.

Just as an aside: While waiting downstairs in the elevator waiting room (I have aptly named this the "tetris" room for the odd shape of it) one gentleman told me that a girl was about 10th in line had scheduled an 8:15 appointment and was trying to enter through security at 7:45. I was shocked to hear that security turned her away when they learned of this and told her to come back at 8:00. The lineup was approximately 60 deep when I (first person in line) made it in. I would be horrified to hear that.

If all K1 visas are at 7:40, then she must have been for another visa type?
