NOA-1 after 30 days?

Im a march filer. USCIS got my petition on the 4th and on the 10th i got a email saying i would have my NOA-1 IN 7 to 10 days. Its the 23rd now and still no i-797! I checked online and they did not have my case status and when i called the USCIS they said i should wait till after April 4th (30 days) for my I-797 before they looked into it. Is this normal? I thought these came out in less than a wee or so.......maby im just paranoid but should I be worried?

Strange - my time line is in my signature, which it was like a 10 day wait from actually sending it off. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

yes we got delivery confirmation and they send me an e-mail last March 10th for the acceptance notification and routed to VSC.

yeah its really strange...i can't even check if my payment is already cashed out bcoz i used a money order...and its ok were just both new to this so i guess i need to wait patiently and call again USCIS on April 4th as what they instruct me...hope everything is ok

Did you keep the part you tear off or fill out from the money order. Usually there is a number to call and get status of cashing etc....

In my opinion, I don't see a reason to really worry yet. If something were blatantly filled out wrong, they would contact you and tell you what they desire (Request for evidence) RFE. On another note, I remember getting my actual notice in the mail a couple of weeks later, but the date reflected on the I-797 was within 2 days of them receiving it. I hope you get it soon so you can worry about other things.

ohh no...i didn't get anything from the money order i just hope no RFE!
