I have no idea what the point of that article is. It offers no real solutions, but a lot of finger pointing. I can't understand the authors complete distain for the idea that maybe we do need updated infrastructure? Catfish farms, sure, that is as much nonsense as growing rice in the desert, but really public transport and rebuilding the nation's highways and bridges so we don't have a MSP Part II doesn't seem like a horrible waste of tax dollars to me.

I agree that throwing money at Wall Street morons or at Iraq will most likely not solve anything, but not all government spending is inherently evil or unnecessary.

Thomas Jefferson died in an incredible amount of debt for the time. Let's not glorify his financial savy too much.
