Hey everyone,

My husband is a USC, I am a Canadian Citizen. We got married in Canada in December, just about to file the papers in May. Waited a bit for the marriage certificate to come, and also, for me to file my taxes with his name in it. My big question is (1) Does USC spouses file for Canadians at a separate location than the rest ?

Somebody had told me that; not sure if its true or not.

For the initial process with USCIS you do need to send in your I-130 to the right state so for more info check out the instructions for the listings.

ha ha ha ha ha, sorry to laugh but why would Canadians be treated differently than the rest of the world?

Read the instructions page, you send it to the service center for your state.

Then the wait begins. Expect 9-14 months from start to finish
