My husband lives in the US and I live in Canada. We have started the CR-1 process and have received our NOA1. I work in Canada. Has anyone tried staying in the US and returning daily for work to Canada? Right now we cross a few times a week each without any issues. Any advice would be appreciated as my hubby would really like me to be in the states more.

To answer your question, it is up to the CBP each time you cross as to wether or not you are admitted. If they see you as 'living' in the US but working in Canada, that may raise issues and you may be denied entry

Good luck

I spoke with a US Border office asking the same question and he said as soon as they speculate that you are no longer living in Canada and therefore not just visiting the US they would start to monitor travel and most probably deny you entry into the US. Without a green card there is no way to live in the US and work in Canada...unfortunately as we were hoping to do the same thing. When I got my Nexus pass they warned me that if I started crossing regularly 4-5 times a week then they would flag it and it would become an issue.

That's what i figured. It is best to ask then to start going back and forth only to end up in trouble. I explained to my hubby that we knew this was going to be a pain for about 10 months but we can do it. At least we are allowed to go back and forth where other couples cannot.

Thanks for the feedback from everyone!
