Well, its done. Finally submitted the I129F package today with the all accompanying paperwork. Kind of nervous even though I quadruple checked everything. Started the "Timeline" as well. Also read through the Flow Chart as well as what documents I will need for the next phase. A bit overwhelming at this point but I think we will be OK. I still don't understand why this takes so long. I still don't understand why I know many, many girls who came here on different types of visas and just used the system, where I have a legitimate situation and its going to take half a year. I just hope there are no issues with my submission or anything else going forward.... Have a great day =))

Congratulations. Starting is half the battle. :) We are here to support your journey. I found this site to be very helpful throughout our process so far. I noticed you mention that this will take half a year; well, based on recent timeline, especially from Vermont Service Center, you may want to plan for 8-9 month process for a K-1, but you may get lucky. Good luck!

Congrats, relax, continue with your relationship and it takes so long because USCIS has that much of a backlog. Really, if you read the stickies at the top you will find that normally the adjucator can approve your petition within about a 20 minutes.

So yes you wait 5 month for 20 minutes of glory. That's the process but in the end, when you are together, all this will just be a minor bump in the road. It will strengthen your relationship.
