I've heard conflicting information. Does the Manila Embassy require children who are a applying for a k2 to show up at the interview with the k1 applicant? I've heard definitely yes, no, and only if they are 14 years or older.

If they are required to show up, what types of questions might they be asked? My fiance's daughter is only 4 years old, but is SUPER SUPER shy, and will more than likely be hiding in the crook of his arm the entire time. Plus, she hardly speaks any English.

Anyone with young children at the interview, can you share how it went?

Thanks

Yes, our little guy was only 2 but his presence was required.

This is true of anyone applying for a Visa, they need to confirm that the Passport & the Visa application are indeed for the same person.

My kids (13 & 9) went to their interview last year with my mom. Yes they are asked some questions by the consul and my 9 yr. old is soo shy and don't talk much. My 13 speaks really goood english so she was kinda the interpreter for her brother.

Questions asked are basically about the petitioner and the parents..not sure though for the 4 yr. old and my kids are not K2 they were IR2.

Mostly in ur case the mother is asked since she is on a k2 visa and she will be with the mom. In my case i was not there for my kid's interview.

Good luck and am sure you will be okay.

Thank you both for your quick replies. That answers my question, and I will tell my fiance that yes, he will need to bring her to the interview with him.
