Hi all, my fiance and I have filled out all the forms and gathered the evidence needed for the petition. But how should we send it in? Can we staple the papers together or should we put it in a folder? Or put all the papers loose in an envelope? I am just very paranoid they will deny us and am thinking of every detail :)

And also what is the typical time from filing the petition to the issuance of the k-1 visa?

Goodluck to all,

Rose

DO NOT staple. Use paper clips and binder clips. I used a USPS Priority Tyvek envelope. Send it to Texas per the instructions.

Use the Immigration Timelines button at the top of the page for examples of timing.

Do not staple. I just organised mine in order and put tabs to differentiate the types of documents. I did not use any metal of any sort.

Did you put them in some type of folder? Can I make 2 holes on the left side of the documents to put them in a folder?

Do not put any hole in your documents. I put all my documents together and put the in the envelope I mailed them in. No folder used, no holes, no stapler. When they get your documents, they will scan every one of them and sort them out into how they arrange them. Just stack your documents and put them in a sizable envelope and mail them. You do not need any folder.
