some things you should bring to the interview are the ds230 part 1 and 2 as well as pictures 2x2 nbi etc etc, but why do you need to bring in the I-864 again? can someone show me were it says that on a official website, or atleast explain the reasoning behind bringing it again?

The logic is to bring any and everything you've ever submitted to USCIS or NVC. This is in anticipation that somewhere along the line they are going to lose something and they'll expect you to provide it again.

11/15/10: I-130 package FEDEX'd to Chicago Lockbox

11/15/10: NSO Marriage and Birth Certificates available for pick-up at NSO

11/17/10: Receipt Date of I-130 petition at Chicago Lockbox

11/19/10: NSO Marriage Cert and Birth Cert (4x each) received by Gina in Philippines

11/19/10: CRBA package couriered to US Embassy in Manila

11/22/10: CRBA package/application including NSO BC & MC received by embassy

11/22/10: NOA1 Date

11/24/10: Electronic notification of receipt received from Chicago Lockbox

11/24/10: Embassy scheduled CRBA appointment for 12/21/2010

11/26/20: Check cashed

11/27/10: NOA1 Hardcopy received via USPS

12/21/10: Interview/Personal appearance at Manila Embassy for CRBA **approved**

01/03/11: CRBA and US Passport for daughter received by Gina via FEDEX

So true! That's what happened to us. The caseworker at the Embassy lost my I-134, my tax transcripts, my W-2, my paycheck stubs, and all of my other financial information. :bonk:

Chinook had to go back to the Embassy and submit copies.

I already provided you with the links to the embassy site. You need to read them carefully. The first paragraph in Packet 3 sums it up:

Immigrant visa applicants should have ALL the following documents ready to submit at the time of the visa interview. Your application will be refused if you fail to bring any of the required documents.http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Packet%204%20_appointment%20packet_%20English%20rtf%20_revised%20GSS_%20_2__001.pdf

It is on you and your wife to bring it. Will it be needed? Maybe, maybe not. If you dont care to get slowed down by not bringing it and needing it...don't get another copy ready. If you want smooth sailing, make sure your wife brings another copy. Simple as that.
