Hi All,

I thought i was going to get NOA2 approval because we had touches 3 days in a row. Instead we get an email saying that my fiance will receive a letter asking for additional evidence or information. I am so frustrated with this process. My fiance and I are both government workers so i thought it would be fairly straight forward. Has anyone got one of these letters or an email like this. Does anyone know what sorts of things they ask for? Maybe they want a letter of support?? We had heaps of evidence that we met and are communicating all the time.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :(

It could be many things. Signatures on forms, more evidence of having met, copies of documents... Check this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4725 - it'll give you a list of what's been asked on RFEs.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Could be soooo many things, but in our case, I forgot to photocopy my ENTIRE passport so they RFE'd me for all the pages so they could compare my passport entry stamps to hers. I went through the same thing...touched 3 days in a row...2nd RFE...sent it back immediatley, and I was approved two days later.

Getting a second RFE is not unusual. I received one for "photocopies of all pages of my passport".

With that said, the only thing typical is that they require more evidence. Could be anything. Hold on for the RFE and turn it around as quickly as you can.

A point of interest: I sent the RFE evidence back in a USPS express envelope with the following nomenclature on both sides, derived from the return envelope they sent me. ATTN:RFE In red marker.

2 days after they received the RFE, Approved.

Expect to wait at least 10 days for the RFE in your mailbox.

Good Luck!!!

It has been suggested that when one returns a RFE, that one sends the entire photo copied package again, along with the newly requested info. Are people doing that? Or is the suggestion overkill? That's a lot of wasted paper each time.

One could send copies of what's been sent before, especially if they're asking for something they already have.

Also, write on the envelope: RFE and add the NOA1 number for identification.

Overkill. Send in only what they have asked for. Anything more can cause further problems or delays.
