Affidavit for I-864

Hello, I need some help in regards of an affidavit. My mother-in-law is going to be a joint sponsor in my parents AOS. She is retired and is using her asset. Our Lawyer told me that she needs to write an affidavit stating that she is retired and about her asset. She is not sure how to write this affidavit so I hope that maybe someone here can help me with an example or information in this regard.

Just out of curiosity. I don't see anywhere were it states that an affidavit has to be written and send in with the I-864. Does she really need to do this. Thank you

I would assume the lawyer said this due to she is retired and has no weekly income from a job just her assets.
