Hey guys,

For the copy of joint tax return that you submitted as evidence, if the tax return was filed electronically,

1. Did you sign the tax return?

2. If yes, which date did you put - original e-filing date or current date?

Unfortunately, I am getting ready to send the I-751 tomorrow and I don't have time to get the transcripts nor have a fax machine to receive fax from IRS!

Thank you!

I've seen a number of RFEs asking for transcripts when people sent returns. If I was sending a printout of a return as it would be for mailing to IRS, I would sign it as of the date filed. Just an opinion since I used 2008-9 transcripts. If your other evidence is good, I don't think it will be a big deal either way.

I submitted mine with copies of Electronically filed Tax Returns. And just sent them with the signatures from the date they were filed. Didn't have a problem. Thats what I intend to do for the ROC as well. Good Luck!

The best bet is to get the tax transcripts. Call the 800# verify address and social and receive it via mail in 5-7 days. But if you cant wait that long, the electronic filed returned with the date originally filed and signed is sufficient and works fine. Goodluck.

I did paper filing, so I need to print the copies of the return and put the date when they were filed for those years, right???
