Hi guys, this is my first post on the visa journey forum, I married my American wife in April last year and we decided to emigrate to America. From here she returned to the USA for a job and I continued my job here in the UK, we then applied for a green card through he I130 route and are currently at the stage where the NVC have approved all and they require some more information on the affidavit of support and also the DS230 which should now all be with them, from here I am keen to get an idea of timescales of when I will get my visa interview date and what the process is. Do the NVC send my information to the London Embassy and then they assign an interview date or do the NVC do this???? Many thanks to anyone who can help me!,,

Can you review the NVC flowchart in the Guides Section here? If you can't see it, let me know ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

NOA2 is the big wait. The NOA1 is basically when they cash your check and tell you they got it. NOA2 (Notice of Action 2) is when they say you are eligible to apply at the Embassy. (This is after they dig it out if the pile and work on it.) Your wife will get the notice. Depending on which service center, Vermont VSC vs. CSC, it could be about 5-6 months. It seems the whole mess takes about 8 months. For some reason, it takes a long time 70-80 days to get out of London after the NOA2, as well. London is busy, and that gets confusing. (That's what we are approaching.) At about 4 months, you can facilitate by updating your vaccines and getting copies, and getting your police report (2 copies), and making sure you have a new(ish) passport. Help for all that stuff can be found on here.

Good luck. the wait is long and taxing on your soul.
