Spirit Airlines is your only option. I think Air Jamaica will eventually open up more routes, but for now, the non-stop flight is on Spirit.

Good luck.

anybody know where i can buy a ticket from jamaica to tampa or orlando a non stop flight ?? please help

currently from kinsgton you will not be able to get a non stop flight. So Expect a connection and American Airline will have the best connection.. Spirit may have the best fare with restrictions.

American Airline is an option as well in addition to Spirit Airlines. I cannot see Air jamaica opening up ANY additional routes.. they are on border line and close to being sold. They used to fly directly to Tampa AND orlando but lost the route due to competition and lack of travelers using those routes.

I was never able to find a non-stop flight to either of those. I chose to drive 3 hrs to ft. lauderdale because that was the only airport that offers non-stop to jamaica. The flight is only 1hr and 40mins.

Hey GC2010. Previous AJ employee coming at you with info....

Air Jamaica will not be opening any other routes in Florida. Their conversion to Caribbean Airlines will be complete very soon! Additionally, their only active direct flight from Montego Bay or Kingston are into Fort Lauderdale. If you chose this option (with AJ, AA) you would need to secure transportation for a 3 to 3.5 hour drive up to the Central Florida area. Spirit does have a connecting flight to Orlando.

Now, your other options are as follows:

Spirit: Kingston or Montego Bay/Fort Lauderdale (FLL)/Orlando (MCO)

American Airlines: Kingston /MIA (MIA)

Jet Blue: Montego Bay/Orlando (MCO)

Airtran: Montego Bay/Orlando (MCO)

Additionally, there is no longer a driect flight from Jamaica to Tampa, FL. You would have to either fly into Orlando and drive the hour to Tampa... or fly into Ft. Lauderdale or Miami and connect on a US airline to Tampa.

Hope this helps. Happy travels.
