My father just retired from Snitzer. (The Orange Fleet) and drove for years. Painting is to Seasonal I agree. Thanks Kuya. Tell me more

Read the messages I sent to you now. Again, you are questioning my logical idea. You are not serious then. I have 8 years experience. It is up to you.

Hi YUANDDAN. Just wanted to know if you gave my idea for your problem any consideration. I bet I am the only one who has actually given you a rock-solid way that you can remedy this situation. I am concerned about you and your fiance. Everyone else is looking at your situation and has no clue how to actually help you. You need to help yourself. Put my idea into action. This is between me and you. You need steady income and nothing else besides your fiance with you.

Please share your knowledge on how you can actually help 'someone in this kind of situation' it would be a great wealth of knowledge for others members.

I am helping him in my own way. He is desperate for a good paying job that he can start right now. I told him of one. It is a very specific job that would gross him about 40-45K in the first year. Read the posts and you will find out what I am talking about.

OK .. Lets get real. Truck Driving is a skill that requires licenses and pay is determined by time on the road and your record of driving. I'm 49 years old and don't want my finacee to be my escort and company in a truck. If your happy with that and she is then that is fine. I don't think she will like truck stops and peeing on the side of the road when there is no restroom. LOL. I appreciate your comments as I said I listen to everyone of them. Mark, the road can be lonely. Any road. I hope everything goes good for you. Tim

I have to question your behavior. Do you plan on talking to your future bride as you are talking to me right now. Are you a Control Freak.? You sound like it. Do you have to feel dominate? Do you have to feel like you need to be the one that gives the only answer and that is it. Your behavior deserves a KODAK Momment for you to look at the picture. Your Finance' will see this (Or maybe she has already) and has'nt said anything. YET. I don't like Controling people. Understanding people I go for more.

Your sounding tyrannical, or perhaps a recruiter?

Let him make his own choice.

A simple "thank you for trying to help" would suffice

With your skilled trade have you tried Lowes, Home Depot, Ace or any paint shop?

No harm done. I did look-up Swift Transportation Corp. It is travel on the road and Truthfully, Philipinas exspect a home and not a Oversized Jeepney. LOL . So, you have to get her used to the Idea that "I won't be at home that much". Taking a trip is OK but the Company will look into Liability in Case of a Accident. Most Carriers won't allow a Passenger unless you are a Team and both have CDL's . Have you read your Companies Policy on this. But, I don't know for sure.

To all the guys who are trying to figure out a way to make enough money to qualify through the I-134 and the 125% poverty guidelines in todays' economy. The most stable industry that does not require any advanced skills or training is the TRUCKING INDUSTRY. The bigger companies will send you to school and you will reimburse them over time. If you are worried right now that you might not qualify and need a good paying job right now I hope you are reading this. Starting pay will be around 45K. Training takes 3 weeks followed by around 6 weeks of OJT. This is a slam dunk for those who are desperate and don't have any other skills to obtain other gainful employment. This goes for MEN and WOMEN. My fiance wants to get behind the wheel. Not bad starting out at 45K right out of the gate. I sent her the Federal CDL Manual two months ago and she already has a good command of the material. Just an idea though. Not for everybody as I have already learned through this thread.
