I know this is probably different when comparing with other countries.. And if anyone from New Zealand could also answer this that would be wicked as.

But id like to know, how long all of you guys had to wait between receiving the status of the decision of your petition to when you had your interview at the consulate..

Do they give you enough time to get everything you need together, or do they just chuck you in it and set your interview for like a week after you get notice??

You can look up US consulate in NZ and see what you will need for interview now as you should get NOA2 soonish. By the time you are approved and it is sent to NVC and then on to NZ can take about 1 1/2 weeks Then you will get packet 3 of what you need to send in and then they will contact you for interview. At least another month. That's what it is like in OZ. You can look up in getting yoyr medical and police report and start gathering the documents you need so when you do come time for packet 3 you will have it all compiled.
