Cancelled AOS interview

OK just went to check my emails and have received 6 from the USCIS ( three for my AOS and 3 for my son's AOS ) all stating that the interview had been cancelled...... this is what it reads

Anybody got any ideas on why they cancel intervies ....... looks like we go back to waiting , just hope i get to see my dad

My initial interview was cancelled...my reschedule date was 10 days earlier than the initial. To add more confusion into it, I ended up with another interivew notice, so in total I had three interivew dates. I went to the one that my DO scheduled. It has happend to a few other people on the board. I hope you get a new notice quickly.

These were my dates:

August 18th - initial interview - cancelled July 30th

August 8th - rescheduled date - approved pending FBI name check

September 5th - this date has been cancelled by DO, since we have already completed our interview.

From posts read here on VJ, interviews are cancelled for reasons that are administrative such as the file hasn't been received from another office yet, or the officer scheduled to do the interview has been reassigned or will not be available that day, stuff like that. Generally, there is no reason to worry. They will schedule another one, and if they do not, then you can contact them or make an infopass appointment to find out a new interview date. We had the same email when we checked back in November 2005 saying that our interview scheduled for December 29th 2005 had been cancelled. We didn't even have a notice telling us about that interview date. After waiting months we finally made an infopass appointment where we found out that our file hadn't arrived in Atlanta which was why the interview for December was cancelled. We finally had an interview on August 1st 2006 which didn't go too well but I am sure it will all work out eventually and I will get a green card.
