Hi all,

My wife is planning a trip back to her home country of Cambodia. She has a current, valid Perminant Resident Card/Green Card. She has a Cambodian passport that had expired, but since re-newed. Our problem is that the name on her passport has her first and maiden names listed. The name on her green card has her first name, middle initial and married name listed. Our travel agent is unsure about which name should be listed to book her ticket. We feel there will be no problem to go to Cambodia, but trying to return to the US with a Cambodia passport in one name and a green card that the last name does not match, will cause problems. Anyone experience differences in names like this? Any help would be appreciated!

A very common question.

Answer:

Book flight using the name as it shows in passport, International travel requires tickets to match passport.

My wife traveled to China like this last summer, no problems with passport and green-card not matching.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
