what is granted relief?

hi guys

i want to know that what does Granted Relief means? little info . my husband filed for asylum and granted for withholding removal. reason he filed asylum late. ( 2 years after he came here) i made info pass last month went to see why his i 130 i applied for him taking so long. IO asked me what is his status i told him withholding, but she said, He was granted Relief. after the stroke interview passed monday we got our approval notice already. I'm asking this question out of curiosity.

if I understand your case, 'granted relief' in this context means the asylum case was approved.

I could be wrong, of course - have you contacted the free immigration advice line in your area ?

if I understand your case, 'granted relief' in this context means the asylum case was approved.

I could be wrong, of course - have you contacted the free immigration advice line in your area ?

i didn't contact free lawyer yet. his asylum was denied and withholding was granted. IO confused us.
