Welcome.

If you'd like, you can join the January Filers group using the links in my signature.

Initial review basically means that they are in the process of reviewing your application. This process is running at about 5-6 months right now to complete. You are fine. Just settle in for the long wait.

If you were to get an RFE, the status would change and would notify you of that.

That is the stage which is shown for your petition after USCIS has received it. No, it does not mean you will get a RFE, necessarily. This was the only message that displayed in my account for 149 days. Until, on the 150th day it all of a sudden showed "post-decision activity," as my petition was approved. You just filed last month, you better sit back and relax. It's going to take a while for you to see any other message for your case in your USCIS account...

Hi there. It is really in initial review on there site. It doesn't mean you can get RFE. If ever you will know because they will post it on your visa status. Dont worry too much. If you have all the documents everything will be under control. We went through of what you experience. But now its everythings worth. I've passed the interview. Good luck!!!

Anyways, good luck with your journey and welcome to VJ!
