yOU CAN'T HAVE MEDICAL UNTIL YOU HAVE An appointment letter from the embassy. It will be in packet 4. Once you recieve packet four you make a medical appointment. You could do it in hopes you will recieve packet 4 but i wouldn't risk it becuase they wont let you in without your appointment letter. Your medical needes to be at least 3 weeks or 7 to 10 business days before your interview to give time for the results to be given. If he has his immunization card he will most likely only need one shot. Should cost you aroud 170 dollars US. Would bring more just incase. Dont forget your 4 passport pics, DL/ID, physical form, appointment letter, passport, and past immunizations.

i AGREE.... You cant do it soon - don't try rushing the case you're only 5 days in to your initial case being at uscis. The Approved medical facilities will ask for the letter which the applicant wont be able to provide. He can GO ahead now and get his medical shots.. IF he is not current with shots "and all" he should do them no that way he will not be required to get the necessary shots.. BUT if it was done too close to the medical appointment then it would not be accepted/honored.
