Queston about K-1 Visa approval but now under Additional review

My fiance got her K-1 visa approved last week? But, the Embassy has now contacted her telling her case is under additional review and will take additional processing time.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Everything I have found so far, deals with people getting flagged during the interview. But, she was approved at her interview? Very confusing?

12-24-09 Goofy White Boy meets smart and feisty Filipina.

5-29-10 She says "yes"

7-13-10 NOA1

10-03-10 Touched

11-23-10 NOA2

11-30-10 NVC received

12-4-2011 8 week delay because of Medical testing

2-04-2011 Finalize Medical Clearance

2-09-2011 Interview -- Passed

2-14-2011 Phone Call stating our case is under additional review

2-26-2011 Received email that Visa was denied for Four Days of overstay in U.S.; requests I-601

3-3-2011 Contacted CBP; mailed them a letter concerning the Section 212 flagged on my fiance.

3-17-2011 Nightmare has ended, Visa has been delivered to courier.

3-25-2011 Married in the U.S.

Sometimes the Embassy puts a case into Administrative Review. No one seems to know why.

It can take a couple of weeks, or it can take a couple of months. Keep checking up on it by calling the Embassy.

In the end, your fiancée should get her visa, so hang in there.
