What is "Clerical Department"????

Hi all, this is my first time posting a question here

VSC received my RFE due to IMBRA on July 12 and nothing's happened since then. After 45 days (as the NVC recording says), my boyfriend called VSC representative yesterday asking about the case. She said that right now the person who is working on our case is contacting the "clerical department" and we would receive a written decision in 2-3 weeks.

I've never heard this in K-1 threads before. Could someone explain to me what it is??? What does it have to do with K-1 visa? I'm very confused and upset.

I have not seen too many success stories calling a service center, or the USCIS "idiotline".

You just need to hang on for the ride. They will get to your case, hopefully sooner than later.
