If you have one --there is no harm in wearing it at the interview, and also they may not ask for it . Like May/Tim said --my fiancee has an engegement ring but does not wear it to work and when she goes out since she is agraid of losing it , or for it to get stolen .Her mom keeps it in a sfe place .I will ask her to wear at her interview as further proof since we took many pics of our the engagement ceremony with some with me on my knees proposing to her  But as I said it just depends on whose consular officer interviews you .

OMG Richie Rich. Does going to Jollebee's and getting a hot dog count as an Engagement Party? :help:

Having an engagement ring is not part of any USCIS policy unless I stand corrected. When I proposed to my fiancée then, my wife now, I gave her an engagement ring. Additionally, I included pictures of her wearing the ring. Remember, during your interview the CO is attempting to validate whether or not you have a bonafide relationship and a genuine intent to get married. There are many reasons not to have had an engagement at the time of your interview. Examples would be we plan on picking one out together, we decided that I should not wear one at this time due to safety reasons, etc. The important thing is be prepared for questions dealing with the relationship. If you do not have a ring now just prepare to the answer the question as to why not, should it even be asked. It is far more important to be able to answer questions regarding your fiancé, and know about his/her life than having a ring on your hand. Think of this as just what it is an interview. If you do not know much about your fiancé and you boggle question after question, then chances are perception on the part of the CO might be that you do not have a genuine intent. Thus, not having a ring should not bring about concern. Again, be honest and forthright in every answer. This along with solid evidence of the relationship will get you through the day. (Smile)
