Tax Returns

Hello all, I'm still getting my documents together so I can send to my fiancee for when she has her interview.

For tax returns, do they want to see 3 years of Tax Transcripts or just showing W-2 from last 3 years good enough?

I was planning on sending in a request for tax transcripts, but they said it might take 2 weeks for me to receive it.

W2 is nothing without the tax returns, you need ALL tax return papers PLUS the W2s.

Or tax transcripts from the IRS. Last 3 years.

You can have the transcripts faxed if you want them faster.

If you are one of the few left that still mail your returns, you can send photocopies of the signed returns.

Even if you do stuff electronically, if you print your returns before submitting it electronically you can send those to your fiancee. Or go to your account in Turbo Tax/H&R Block or the free efiling from IRS website or any tax software you use to submit your tax electronically and print out a copy of the tax you submitted on IRS. You can use those to send to your fiancee. And don't forget to include the electronic form signature.
