Should I extend NOA2 approval?

I'm getting a little antsy because the Embassy just logged that they received my packet 3 info requested, which I confirmed with visa specialist. I've had so many delays along the way because of the poor mailing system in Jamaica. The NOA2 expires 3/17,what are the chances I won't get a date by then? I've noticed from other peoples postings that the interview date is typically a month from receipt of packet 4 and I haven't received it as yet. Does it hurt to extend and how do I go about doing that?

I'm reading other posts and it doesnt agree to what you are saying. Now I'm confused.

The NOA2 expiring..? nothing for you to worry about. While at the NVC stage as long as you're in contact with them and one year has no passed then YOU ARE OK.

My case is past the NVC stage. It's at the embassy, just waiting for interview date. I'm filing a k-1 visa. Thanks.

Just wait for an interview date from Kingston, there is nothing else for you to do but prepare for the medical and the interview.

That's good.. there's nothing that you can do then it's out of your hands.. at this time you are waiting to be contacted. If it helps keep in mind for those cases who were say approved in 2009 and just got their visas in 2011 or who will not get it for the next 5= years like those in the brother/sister or child of US Citizen who are over 21 category
