We sent in our I-485 and I-765 on November 12 and got NOA's for both of them . Lordalyn did her biometrics December 14. We found out that her work authorization card has been approved for printing.

Our question is when do you think we should hear about an interview date or possible transfer to California Service Center ?Is it normal to get the Work Authorization before hearing anything at all about the AOS ?

Thank You in advance

Yes, EAD and Advance parole comes first so she could work while waiting for the AOS approval. Your just a week ahead of me. We file my AOS Nov 22 and dont biometrics first week of January. This 2nd week of January, I received a transfer noticed to California.

Sorry to hear, waiting is terrible. I actually sent my I130 and Work auth a week aftr you (on Nov 18th)....Still have not received a biometrics letter :(

I guess...waiting is one of the most difficult things to do...lets just hope and wish for the better result :)

Our question is when do you think we should hear about an interview date or possible transfer to California Service Center ? On the average, between 2 to 3 months to hear about an AOS interview, depending on how busy your Application Service Center (ASC or also referred to as your local USCIS office); in case your application is transferred to California, it's likely you will be approved without an interview, but unfortunately, some AOSers have been experiencing delays in California even though their cases have been transferred there...so it's hard to say how long you will hear from them. Is it normal to get the Work Authorization before hearing anything at all about the AOS ? Yes, it's normal.

Thank You in advance
