Hi to all the wonderful people on here, and I hope you are all doing great are just as excited about seeing your loved ones.

So, my fiance is a full time student. Her mom is our co-sponsor in this entire process (she is so sweet). As I understand even though we have a co-sponsor, my fiance will still need to collect all of her financial documents as well. The issue we have is, she has all her W2's but she has never filed for income tax. She says, because she didn't make a lot of money that's why she never filed for income tax. I understand it is one of the document she needs. And we dont have it.(and I am not sure how it works). Is it going to be an issue at the US consulate when I go for the interview. Her mom, has all her documents.

Please give suggestion.

Thanks

According to New Delhi embassy, only last year's income tax return is needed. Since the year just ended, she can just file the taxes for 2010 and you'll be all-set. If you have a co-sponsor then her tax documents might not be that relevant anyway. You might need her mother's tax returns and bank statements.
