Hi everybody!

My name is Molly and I am from Grand Rapids, MI. My fiance, Steve, is from Windsor,ON. We became engaged in Aug,2010. We set a wedding date of Oct.1, 2011, but Im now wondering if we may have jumped the gun on this one. We mailed out I-129 a couple weeks ago and I received notification this week that they have received our application and it has been sent to California to be processed. Ive heard a lot of different answers on the processing time, from 5 months to 12 months. Im not sure what to expect.

Im just wondering what everyone's opinion is. Do you think that a wedding 9 months from now is pushing it?

Possibly but its hard to tell really. Your case is at CSC and not VSC so thats kind of a good start.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

There is really no way to tell. Alot of people have been waiting 5/6 months then after the approval the interview is another 5 months later. I was really bless to get my appoval within a month but my interview was scheulde for 5 months later. I would not make any plans I could not move around if needed.

Ours took about 5 months. CSC is a lot faster. As long as you have no RFEs and you prepare your package for intreview as soon as possible, I think you would be fine, Of course, every situation is different. Good luck on your journey.

Ours took 9 months from filing to visa in hand but it also took us an extra month to get our paperwork in order since my [now] wife was away at school when her packet 3 came. Our NOA2 only took 2 months but I think they are a lot slower now; Montreal was the slow part for us. If you don't have your NOA2 in 2-3 months I would assume you will not make it since Montreal will take 4-6 months.
