we're at the medical/interview step now, and I'm getting my stuff together to send to my fiancé for the AOS.

I'm doing the little freak out like I did with the initial petition. I know I'm probably in overkill of info, but I don't want to forget something that the embassy in london might want.

for my I-134 package I have:

I-134 signed

6 months pay stubs (and as luck would have it, the most recent one is the last of the year. nice summary)

3 years of tax transcripts

signed letter from work stating job status, salary, etc.

statement from bank for date opened, current balance, etc.

like I said, probably overkill... but I wanted no possible question about how much I make, and if I make the cut or not.

I've also included:

duplicate copy of the initial I-129F package

duplicate copy of the I-134 package (overkill... like I said)

updated letter of intent to marry

copies of the NOA1/NOA2/NVC letter

original documents from the I-129F

my fiancé is going to supply evidence of continued relationship with yahoo chat calls, etc because my computer had to be reformatted recently.

can anyone that has been through the london embassy think of anything else I would need to send him? I probably have it all, but I'll feel comfortable with a second or third opinion :)

I can tell you're one of those over-kill people, so no matter what anybody replies you're going to send a 20 pound package to your fiance and she's going to lug it all the way to London, BUT since you asked......

London only wants what they list on their website here http://london.usembassy.gov/interview_documents.html

It's a long page, but the list items are in bold type. Do read the explanations carefully so she has the correct type of birth certificate, etc.

I've been to the K1 interview in London and followed more than 2.5 years worth of London interviews (hundreds) on VJ. Here's what you really need to send to her. The other is just extra postage.

134 signed

6 months pay stubs (and as luck would have it, the most recent one is the last of the year. nice summary)

3 1 years of tax transcripts

signed letter from work stating job status, salary, etc.

statement from bank for date opened, current balance, etc.Two proofs is all London wants. You've got 3 good ones above.

duplicate copy of the initial I-129F package

duplicate copy of the I-134 package keep that for your AOS I-864

updated letter of intent to marry

copies of the NOA1/NOA2/NVC letter

original documents from the I-129F

evidence of continued relationship with yahoo chat calls, etc

More useful use of her time than printing chat logs that won't be read or even put in the file, is going to NHS and get a MMR and Tdap shot record to take to her visa medical exam. Get the booster for MMR if there's enough time interval and it's free. If she has to check "yes" to any of the items on the medical checklist, then she should go to the visa exam with a letter from her NHS doctor explaining in detail.

Despite what you read on VJ from other countries, London cares about the I-134 and her providing her documents (birth certificate, passport, police certificate, etc. If they required more it would be in THIS LIST. She should take a photocopy of any document she wants returned to her, ie her birth certificate. It's also a good idea to take spare copies of her four DS-xxx documents that she mails in because there have been a few interviews where London says "we don't have your DS-xxx." Obviously their filing mistake or over-looking in the folder, but quickly solved if you can pull out a spare.

we're at the medical/interview step now, and I'm getting my stuff together to send to my fiancé for the AOS.

Why are you sending your fiance anything for the AOS? Adjustment of Status is something you do once you're married in the US and he's applying for a conditional green card, therefore adjusting his residency status.

+1 for Nich-Nick's post. They didn't even want to see my sponsor's I-134, taking only our co-sponsor's form. We used her 2009 return and W-2, letter from employer and 6 months of paystubs. I had to ask if they needed the letter from my daughter's father allowing her to permanently move.

The only other stuff they asked for was my paperwork: birth certificate, police certificates, passport, etc.

sundrop, AOS can also mean affidavit of support aka I-134 ;)

thank you for the revised version of my list, nich-nick. I will probably take some of the stuff out at your advisement, but my post was more directed twards anything I may have forgotten. I know I went overboard... I've always been of the mindset better safe than sorry - missing something will just delay him getting the visa. I do thank you, again, though... I will make sure I pass what you said along to steven, he would probably appreciate hearing some of what you said about the medical and whatnot :)

OOps! I mixed up your genders. I don't see anything missing from your list. London is all about his forms, his documents, and his medical exam except for your I-134 and proofs of income. The interview is easy...just a very short chat. There's no proving your relationship.

I see from your timeline that you didn't get packet 3. This is it if you haven't found it already

http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

About the immunizations, he can get a K visa without any shots, but his AOS will be so much easier if he has everything recorded on the Immunization Worksheet (DS-3025) that they will give him at the visa medical exam. Tell him to keep up with that during his move. I believe in the UK, he will get the DTP shot as they don't do Tdap. If he had DTP or MMR as a child, he needs them to be within the last 10 years to count for USCIS and AOS.

Do come to the UK Forum because it's a good place to ask the London specific questions and pick up London tips.

Here's the UK Wiki articles on VJ which need a little tweaking with recent changes, but are pretty helpful.

Here'a a map I made for the medical and interview. You can zoom it in or out. http://www.click2map.com/maps/nichnick/Embassy_London

Good luck!

haha... it's ok!

yeah, he had to call the embassy a few times before he was in the system so they would "release" the info needed to start the next bit of paperwork. apparently the holidays ate his packet 3.

he went and checked on his vaccine record, and he says it's all taken care of.

thank you again for all of your information! I'm passing all of this on to him :)
