Hi there,

My husband and I are planning on using our assets as evidence for the support of affidavit. We are comfortably over the minimum and my husband will be bringing proof of the balances in our various bank/investment accounts. Will we also need previous statements? For how many months? We are currently in the process of consolidating our accounts which means that there will be some rather large transfers of funds from one account to another this month. Am I right in assuming to be safe, we should bring statements of accounts that will be closed by the time the interview rolls around?

Thanks,

- Sam

Yes, bring all the documentation you can, particularly the paper trail for how the money moved from one account to the current one.

"Comfortably over the minimum" would be at least three dollars for each dollar of income shortfall. For a two person household, you need about $55,000.

Yeah,

Sorry, that's what I mean. We are comfortably over that 55000 mark.
